About Us

Jeff and Gayle Farmer have been business owners working in Palm Springs for the last 20 years. We currently own Omega Publications and Omega Lake Services, a small service/maintenance company.

We have been successful caterers, owned a thoroughbred farm and have published books since 2002. In each of these enterprises we've faced the same marketing, advertising and copy writing questions you're asking.

Do I have the time and ability to get this project completed?
Do I really want to learn what it takes to do this myself?
Would it be better to hire a professional?

How do I get my book published?
What kind of marketing do I need?
How much will this cost?
How many sales can I expect?
Where do I start?

A note from Gayle:

In 2004, Jeff and I published the first of my young adult adventures. While the original three are out of print, I have a new series called The Doubletree Kids. Five books in the Doubletree Kids Series are completed and a sixth will be available soon.

After completing that series, I launched into my first mystery/thriller called Secret Lives. I've since completed three more books in this genre and a fifth book  is in progress.

Now I'm working on a variety of writing projects that include editing and copy writing. I love this aspect of the business. Every job involves a new twist, every project a new goal.

Whether I'm working on editing an author's new manuscript or helping to fine-tune a creative marketing campaign, I love the work we do at Omega Publications. We strive to give you the ideal message aimed at your target audience and the exact look and feel for your newest publication.

Helping you achieve your goal is the most fun of all.

Take a look at the rest of our site and then contact us so we can get started working for you. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your project, share ideas and concepts and do our part to make your dream come true.

A word from Jeff:

I love being creative publishing and copy writing fascinate me.

Producing material that excites our clients and showcases their ideas and dreams is the reason we started Omega Publications.

I'm looking forward to developing a project for you.

We offer each of our clients the same dedication, enthusiasm
and effort we use in our own work.
We will always handle your job in a fair and professional manner.
We feel the job isn't finished until you are satisfied.

We are born entrepreneurs. When we first went into business, we knew success rested on us. We new we need knowledge and experience to make our enterprise grow. We learned publishing and marketing, we learned copy writing and editing. We assembled a dedicated team, learned what motivates a reader and what produces results. We learned that every job is unique and every client has unique needs.

As business owners, we needed better communication with our customers, so we developed a website. We needed a sales letter for products and services, so we wrote it. We developed white papers, brochures, and other marketing material. We made videos, slide shows, and mp3's.

One of our enterprises was a thoroughbred breeding farm we owned from 1996 to 2006. We began to produce wonderful thoroughbred babies that we raised and trained for the hunter/jumper circuit. We then sold them to happy clients who kept our business perking along. We had great success with our horses and we had a lot of fun.

Around the year 2000, Gayle decided to share her experiences with the rest of the world. She turned her favorite horses and students into fictional characters and wrote the Doubletree Kids Series, an exciting young adult series of horse stories.

We published the first novel, SHOWTIME! in 2004. We set to work creating a web site at GayleFarmer.com to showcase the first of what turned out to be many novels. Thus Omega Publications was born.

Gayle is now completing her thirteenth book including six in the Doubletree Kids series and four adult
mystery/thrillers in her Sessions and Browning Series. She has just recently released  her latest Doubletree Kids book called Riding Blind. She's working on a new thriller in the Sessions and Browning Series that will be out in 2011.  Her books are available in most eBook formats as well as paperback.

Gayle and her staff work as Editors, Author Liaison and Copywriters at Omega Publications.

Jeff is our Publisher, Cover Designer, Typographer and Copywriter.

Jeff and Gayle Farmer founded Omega Publications in 2002.

We've been there.
We understand how you feel and we're here to help.

When Gayle was a new author she considered the same options every author faces.

As a fledgling writer, and not knowing much about the publishing world, I was indeed lucky to be associated with Omega Publishing as the company to bring some of my short stories to the world at large. The expense was minimal, and the finished product was professionally presented and edited. Holding the book in my hands was--and still is--a rare joy to behold. I could not be any happier with what they have done for me. I highly recommend Omega to anyone interested in getting their work published.

I'm more than pleased. It's been a delightful, frustrating, learning experience. I can honestly praise your professionalism and guidance throughout the project. I will add a note to that effect on my Web site.
I await my copy of the finished book. It will be a pleasure to heft it, smell it and open it to see the published work.
Thank you again for your patience and hard work.

Jeff, special thanks to you for putting up with me through the cover design process -- you've created a winner.

It was my pleasure to work with the editing team of Omega Publications on my debut biographical novel, A Leaf on the Wind. They are attuned to the author, keen on producing perfection and the cover art was simply outstanding. As I hold my book in my hand and compare it to a traditionally published book, I see no difference in quality, formatting and presentation. I can't recommend them highly enough.

My experience with Omega Publications was great! Having a negative experience with my first book, I entered this venture with some hesitancy but the way Jeff and Gayle worked with me was fantastic. They responded quickly to my questions and concerns and walked me through the whole process. Gayle is a great editor and helped tailor the book to convey exactly what I wanted in the finished product. The way Jeff worked with me to get the cover we wanted was wonderful. As we worked together to complete this project, my initial concerns simply "Vanished! "
Darwin Reeves- VANISHED!
