We handle the complete job of publishing your book, from editing and design to printing and distribution. We work with you every step of the way to ensure your book looks exactly as you envisioned it. We began our publishing venture in late 2002 and published our first three books in the Showtime Series for young adults with a run of 500 copies of each. Encouraged by our success, we later rewrote them into a new series, the Doubletree Kids Series. We currently have five titles available in this series with another in editing.

We offer our experience and expertise as authors, editors and publishers to other authors who have the desire to introduce their manuscript to the reading public as a POD publication.

We set high standards for ourselves and for our clients because we believe in quality. A book published by OP will meet or exceed industry standards with top grade paper and an original four-color glossy cover. You will receive professional editing and personal guidance through the entire process.

Like many Print On Demand publishers we work with Lightning Source, Inc. a major printer providing a truly remarkable avenue into the publishing world. The product Lightning Source produces is considered a standard in the industry. They provide excellent craftsmanship and perform ten quality control checks on each book shipped so your books go out perfect every time. The quality of your book will compare favorably with traditionally published, mainstream books. On-demand printing allows you to avoid the costs of large inventory, storage, order processing and shipping/handling fees associated with vanity presses. You are able to keep your titles in print and before the public so you can focus on generating sales and writing you next best seller.

If you chose to offer your book for full distribution, it will be distributed through Ingram, Amazon.com, Baker & Taylor, Barnes & Noble, NACSCORP and will be available to thousands of brick and mortar book stores across the country.

Adding eBook Formats Can Increase Your Sales

Lightning Source handles printing, distribution and order fulfillment and provides a monthly Sales Compensation Report. We convert this sales information along with sales reports from other areas listed below, into one quarterly Authors Compensation Report which we will to you on request.

Payments from book sales are forwarded to OP and are then paid to the author. We take a flat 20% commission leaving you with an 80% royalty on all sales through these distribution channels.

Sales made from our web site are also included in the quarterly Authors Compensation Report and you receive the same 80% from those sales as well.

We remit author compensation payments to you quarterly. When the total amount available in your account exceeds $100. At year-end, all balances due our authors are paid, regardless of the amount in their account.

We encourage you to compare our 80% Royalty Payments with other POD publishers.

Your book will be available on our web site and you will have a personal sales page featuring your book and a brief author bio.

We can also create an authors web site for you as an additional sales tool.

If you chose eBook sales as part of your package, and we highly suggest that you do, we have a variety of eBook formats and distribution options available. These sales will be included in your monthly Authors Compensation Report and your royalties will be paid at 80% as described above.

In addition, we will convert your book into four popular formats and offer the eBook for sale through our website. Our formats are Standard PDF, EPub, Microsoft Reader and MobiPocket Reader/Kindle.

We will also submit your eBook to Smashwords for sale through the Smashwords network which includes thousands of eBook retailers across the country. Smashwords books are distributed to major online ebook retailers such as the Apple iPad iBookstore, Barnes & Noble, Sony, Kobo and the Diesel eBook Store. Ebooks books are also distributed into the native catalogs of top mobile e-reading apps such as Stanza on the iPhone and iPad and Aldiko and Word-Player on Android devices. Your book will be available for sale at Smashwords.com and through their network of affiliates.

Our ebooks are also converted to Amazon's Kindle Edition and sold through Amazon Digital. These sales are included in you quarterly author compensation report. We also put the work into other networks that make the book available in several additional formats including IPad.

The overwhelming popularity of the eBook format tells us they are the obvious wave of the future. We offer our authors an avenue to present their work to a world-wide, international audience, a truly vast and untapped opportunity.

We take a 20% commission on eBook sales from these sources and your 80% royalty is added to your account. These figures are included in your quarterly Authors Compensation Report.

The benefits of publishing your book in eBook format cannot be overstated, and if you perform due diligence in making the selection of your publisher, you will notice OP is the only POD publisher offering such a wide variety of formats for such reasonable prices.

EBook sales generated directly from our web site are also included in your quarterly Authors Compensation Report. We take 20% commission on these sales and you receive 80% as royalties. These royalties are added to your account in the month they are received by us.

Unlike many other Print On Demand companies we are very selective about the books we publish. If you've ever queried Random House or any other mainstream publisher, you know they reject more than 80% of the works submitted. Please do not take it personally if we decline to publish your manuscript.

If your book is published by Omega Publications, you will be proud of it and so will we. We've said it before, but we'll say it again. We don't publish junque, no matter how you spell it. Reputation is very important and we want our authors to be able to depend on ours. When we tell you your work needs editing, don't take offense, nothing personal is implied. The fact is, it's a rare piece that does not need professional help in several areas.

While we focus on three main genres and their offshoots: Mystery/Thrillers, Young Adult, and Historical Fiction. We have also accepted books in the non-fiction category. We'll consider any well-written story and are interested in adding new categories.

We do not publish books we deem pornographic or sexually explicit, nor do we consider books that promote hatred or violence on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation or nationality, or subject matter we deem prurient or objectionable. Editor's decision is final.
